|Title||Le Moulin Rouge|
Printed on Arches wove paper, 1955-1959. Reference: Sapphire, pp 238-239 & 286-87. Plate 29, of the 29 compositions from La Ville. Published by Tériade (Efstratios Eleftheriades. 1897-1983), Paris. Proof aside from the total edition of 200, which has become surprisingly scarce. Printed by Mourlot Frères. These lithographs were created by Mourlot, who printed most of Leger's work, after drawings by the artist, after the artist's death (posthumously). They are nonetheless regarded as original lithograph since Leger seldom drew his own lithographs on stone, but entrusted Mourlot's technicians with this task.
